Welcome to MERU!

MERU is a charitable organisation that exists to improve life for children and young people with severe disabilities. We do this by using our design and engineering skills to make individual pieces of specialist equipment they can use at home, at school or college, in hospital or at play.

Come and see how our staff and volunteers use their design and engineering skills to transform the lives of disabled youngsters. A Special Day at MERU is on Saturday 14th July from 12 noon to 4pm, at our premises: 8 Damson Way, Orchard Hill, Carshalton, Surrey SM5 4NR

MERU’s new Patron, television presenter and interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, will unveil a plaque during the event. It commemorates the founding of MERU by his late father Trefor Llewellyn Bowen - an orthopaedic surgeon, and medical engineer Bill Bond - who is now MERU’s President.

There will also be fun activities for all the family, special features for therapists and medical professionals, and a barbecue.

For more information please contact MERU on 020 8770 8286 or email info@meru.org.uk

We are also working on developing a range of new and innovative products that will be available ‘off the shelf’.
